the Great and the Good in 10 prims or less comes to an end this afternoon SLT with a party and prize-giving ceremony at the Jules Verne Park at Sybirya on sim Gwen.The competition aimed at raising awareness of Arts parks across SL brought visitors to the Jules Verne Park, the villa of catullus at Porto cervo and to jabberwocky, the Alice in Wonderland'inspired sim. We hope you got a chance to do some literary tourism as well as voting for your favourite pieces!
Party then today, all are invited, if you didn't get the notice and are already up to your 25 group

conoscere artisti famosi di RL in SL, e far conoscere i nostri stupendi parchi a tutti i residenti! Se non hai ancora avuto tempo di visitare i parchi Jules Verne e Jabberwocky, il parco ispirato dalle opere di Lewis Carroll, oggi è un'occasione di fare un po' di turismo letterario e anche di votare le opere esposte nei centri precedentemente elencate in questo blog. Stasera, la festa conclusiva a Sybirya (Parco Jules Verne) si balla e saranno presentate i premi insieme a queste belle statuette! Per partecipare, basta associarsi al gruppo ArtsParks e riceverai notice, oppure puoi IM Giuditta Broome ti 
tipperà suuubito! Ma puoi anche cominciare già da ora a quale artista tu vorresti rappresentare per la prossima edizione della gara. Se hai una land, forse vorrai anche tu ospitare delle opere, quando si tiene la prossima gara. Pensaci, e ricordare... l'arte non si ferma mai!

The notecard reads: "Can Art represent the Divine? In 800 AD the future of Western Art hung by a thread, with forces arranged attempting to severely limit it. Its defender was the the first female Emperor of the Roman Empire, Irene. And Irene was a not only a defender of art she was also a viciously cruel ruler. Come and see a play which dramatizes this all but unknown turning point in the history of civilization."

Written and directed by Leonardo Zimring and produced by Dilana Llewellyn, the play is on First night was last Friday, but you can catch it again on Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 3pm SLT

Dilana Llewellyn e il Present Company ci propone la commedia Gli iconosclasti un pezzo drammatico scritta da Leonardo Zimring.
Può arte rappresentare il Divino? La domanda fu posta nel '800 all'epoca dell'imperatrice Irene al tramonto dell'impero romano. Irene fu non solo una prottetrice dell'arte fu anche una tiranna spietata. La commedia ci fa conoscere un momento perno della storia forse quasi sconosciuta, e fa rifletter sull'arte, il potere e la storia dell'uomo.
Lo spettacolo lo troverai al suggestivo sala da ballo al Ivy Falls Theater ancora martedi 16 dicembre alle 15.00 SLT e venerdi 19 dicembre alle 19.oo SLT
